Welcome to Active Theology!

This endeavor began for a few reasons. During my time in seminary from 2019-2022, I realized how much I enjoyed taking classes, researching, and writing/completing projects. However, throughout my program, I felt a disconnect. Depending on the class or topic, my studies often felt like purely intellectual exercises. Theology can quickly become an academic pursuit for the sake of knowledge alone. I don’t want this to be the status quo for myself. I want to always figure out how to apply and live out the things I study.

That’s why I decided to start Active Theology. I want to continue to ask questions, study, and dive deep into theology, but continually consider the application and action that I and other followers of Christ need to take.

If you’d like to follow along with me on this journey of connecting theology and life, please follow along with the Active Theology page on Facebook/Instagram/Twitter or sign up for the mailing list to receive email updates on what I am studying/sharing with others. I’m planning on kicking things off with some blog posts on various topics and working towards a guided read along with the book of Galatians. Please join me if you are interested in some in-depth study with a focus on how to apply it to everyday life!

Thank you for checking out Active Theology and joining me on this journey!
